Happy Spring and Summer
BumbleBeaders!

Our well-deserved, warm weather is finally here!
Come out of hibernation and get those creative juices flowing. This is the
perfect time of year to get a fresh start with lots of new ideas. Let the
golden sun and colorful blooms of spring inspire your jewelry making. This
is a time of new beginnings for BumbleBeads as well. Store manager, Devin
Taylor, will be temporarily leaving us this June for the birth of her baby
boy. We are so excited for her! In the meantime, we will celebrate the
return of one of our favorite designers/teachers, Bridget Seligson. The time
Bridget spent in Bali, Indonesia is sure to bring some exciting and exotic
new classes to be announced later this season.
BumbleBeads is introducing a new series of informal, educational lectures
focusing on the intriguing history of beads and jewelry. These fun,
informative, discussions will be lead by shop owner, Anita Cain, and are
completely FREE to attend! Following the lecture, guests will be invited to
stay for a short workshop to create a piece of jewelry inspired by what
you've learned (materials not included). The first of the series is entitled
“The Lover's Eye”, Victorian Jewelry: Romance and Remembrance. Check out the
full description in our class schedule and please RSVP if you plan to
attend.
Join us on Sunday, May 2nd 11-5pm for Chestnut Hill's 14th annual Home and
Garden Festival (rain date, May 16th). This year the event will highlight
“Eco-Alley” on West Highland Avenue which will feature green vendors with
sustainable products. We will have a booth in our regular spot in front of
PNC Bank, near Gravers Lane. The shop will also be open from 12-5pm.
