BumbleBeads opened in it's doors on November 25th 2004 in the lovely shopping district of Chestnut Hill, located in northwest Philadelphia. We are a privately owned, one-of-a-kind bead shop that not only prides itself in an incredible bead selection, but also exceptional customer service. We provide everything you need to create beautiful jewelry, from gorgeous beads to stringing supplies and even the space and assistance to do it! You may have never picked up a bead in your life, but with a little creativity and help from our inspiring staff, you can leave the shop with a handmade treasure that will never be found anywhere else! Free crimping demonstrations are offered to get you started on your jewelry-making endeavors without the immediate need for a class.

To expand your talents, we offer about 15 different classes every season that are constantly changing with current trends and new techniques. At BumbleBeads, we know how valuable it is to have individualized attention from your instructor, so all classes sizes are kept small to help get the most from your lesson. There are never more than 7 students in any given class. If you feel more comfortable with a one-on-one session or simply can't attend our scheduled class times, we offer private lessons at your convenience for an additional $10.

For a relaxed, less structured event we offer beading parties for children and adults. These fun-filled parties allow you to spend time with friends and/or family while designing and making jewelry with help from an experienced staff member. Bring food and drinks and get ready for a really great time!

Do you have broken beaded jewelry laying in your jewelry box? BumbleBeads offers jewelry repair services as well as advice to help you tackle the project yourself. If it's a very simple repair we may even have time to do it while you wait! Custom jewelry design and fabrication is available for special events such as weddings and proms, or even just something to match your new outfit.

BumbleBeads boasts a wide array of precious, semi-precious, pearl, shell, Czech glass, Japanese, wood, bone, metal, crystal, and vintage trade beads. We carry sterling silver, gold-filled, brass, copper, and pewter findings, beads, pendants, wire and chains. We have beading wire, memory wire, stretchy cord, silk, satin, synthetics, leather, waxed linen, pearl cotton, faux suede and organza. BumbleBeads has a variety of tools including pliers, cutters, snippers, glues, plastic and steel mandrels, bench blocks, anvils, hammers, needles and polishing cloths. We also have a vast selection of beautiful, handmade, one-of-a-kind focal pieces that you won't find anywhere else.
